Banks that are open on Saturdays and/or Sundays are always a godsend. So it was a pleasant surprise to see that Security Bank in Ali Mall at the Araneta Center in Cubao was open on a Saturday. As it turns out, the whole of Saturday.

Security Bank in Ali Mall is on the third floor, the same level as the Food Gallery. (The helpful Security Bank staff informed me that the Security Bank Medical City Ortigas branch is also open on Saturdays, although from the limited hours of 9am-12nn.)

BPI Requirements for Claim to Account of Deceased Depositor

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) branch at the Philippine Stock Exchange in Ortigas, Pasig City kindly provided me with the list of requirements on how to claim the funds of a depositor who has passed away. Please note that copies of all the listed documents must be submitted to BPI, so, make sure you have xeroxed copies of the originals when you visit the bank.
